Guess where I am?

To most of my readers it will be no surprise that I am back in Australia. After a journey that began on Sunday, spanning many lines of longitude and latitude, including fifty two hours of without sleeping and the wonders of peering at the earth from a distance, my mate picked me up from Adelaide airport early Tuesday morning. Before we headed to my house we stopped to watch some planes land at a local airport lookout while having a stimulated chat, it was a memorable return.

On arrival at 21s, I bummed around the house after scrounging a key of one of the ex-housemates. Closer to midnight I made my bed and crashed. In the morning I started the routine that I have been surviving by until this day. That routine involves waking up early, going to uni, getting shit done, heading home, eating, hapkido, reading and bed. Any spare time has been spent organising my life and house, and maintaining my superb relationship with Maija. After about three weeks of going hard, I believe I am finally settling in. I am sure some annoying crap will rear its ugly head, but it really feels like I am home again.

And what a great feeling it is. Australia, especially Adelaide, is a great place. Leaving uni every night I am usually confronted with a pack of cockatoos (papukiaja) piss-farting about, a hilltop view of the sun setting over the Gulf, the sprawling metropolis at the far edge of its civilisation and gum trees twisting in agony trying to find their place in this elements ruled land. This is great, but it mainly serves as fuel for my desire to explore this state and country.

To all my mates in Finland, thank you for showing me a great country. Finland is heaven, if you haven’t been to Finland, go, and go hard. To those in Australia, many who I have already crossed paths with, I hope you will join me for a few beers and a tale at some point in time.

Cheers

AB
