Knife's Edge
I hear people say that the world teeters on a knife's edge. I guess they mean that the slightest shift in weight and something very bad happens. It might be war, mass injustice or a natural disaster but either way those who say this think a small change will have a large result.
To me, this thinking goes against physics. For one, the world is a bulky diverse place. This means it takes a large amount of energy to shift it. And the energy used to move it needs to be as diverse as the place itself. You cannot offend everyone with mum-jokes so don't expect Ice Cube movies to start a clash of civilisations.
However the world is not stable. Only 60 years ago (my parents are 60), Christian Europeans created death factories for Jewish Europeans while Einsatzgruppen (Mobile Death Squads) were ‘just doing their job’ in

I believe the world sits comfortably, yet dangerously, on a 60cm plank of wood hoisted above a pool of shit. No matter how much we concentrate we cannot always walk this plank without falling off. When we do fall off we realise why the plank is there and drag ourselves out leaving a short trail of muck on our perch as a reminder of our lapse. As we move on we forget about our slips and begin our journey again.

I followed that link. It doesn't look like the kind of movie that you'd walk out of feeling all happy and uplifted.
Unless you were some kind of fuck head, that is.
You are right, Schrempp, only an unquestionable 'fuck head' would enjoy the movie. However, even with its dark setting it's still worth watching - especially for those who refuse to recognise reality. Reality is Yin and Yang and this is Yang (or is it Yin - who cares, check-out 'Come and See').
